Our Story

Allyson’s Story

Allyson grew up in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. You could usually find her either on the lake doing any & all water activities or playing in the sand as a triple jumper. After studying at Stanford, Allyson is working at a MedTech startup for safer drug delivery.

Allyson enjoys spending time with those she cares most about, whether that’s at home, on a sailboat, or on the ski slopes.

Nick’s Story

Nick grew up in the SF Bay Area where he spent most of his time up in the Sierra or running in circles (first around the house, then the track). After studying at Cornell & Stanford, Nick is now working in tech on AI.

Nick loves to be in nature hiking, backpacking, skiing, you name it. He also has a passion for photography; all of the photos on our site were taken by Nick (yes, even the ones of us)!

Our Relationship

We met in 2019, as teammates on the Stanford Track & Field team. We quickly became friends over team dining, then one day Allyson introduced Nick to potica (pronounced poh-TEET-sah), a Weiss favorite pastry. We traded one full cup of Cheerios for a couple slices of potica & never looked back.

One of our favorite things together is an evening drive down the coast & a picnic on the cliffs. In August 2024, Nick proposed at one of our favorite ocean spots during one of these very drives.
